- Qualification
- Engineering degree or M.Sc. with 60% (final-year students may apply).
- Also required
- Selection is through BARC's own online test or a GATE score (2026 brochure: GATE 2024/2025/2026 accepted), then an interview. Regular full-time degrees only. The check uses the 2026 window moved forward one year.

- B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc (Engg.) or 5-year integrated M.Tech with 60% in the listed disciplines, or M.Sc. (60%) in Physics, Chemistry, Biosciences, Geology or Geophysics. Final-year students may apply (degree complete by 31.07.2026).
